River Access Trail
There were always stories from older members of our community that our land went all the way down the guindo where the “Pacacua” river and the “Quebrada Honda” river meet up and create a wonderful landscape.
There used to be an “Ariete”, mechanic pump that sent water up our farm through very steep piping, the way it works its by constantly filling the system with a bit of water, and then another couple drops, and then a few more, every second until preasure is enough to exit in our farm up the hill, one little bit at a time.
We never saw it actually working, the pipes were eaten by the jungle and the trail our grandpa, family and workers used to go down desappeared to the regular human eye, where only wolves could pass and we were able to see “White Tail Deers” crossing the area until this summer we reached the river and started working on the river access trail.
The “Ariete” is still alive and our dream is to put it to work properly, bringing even more waters to our land, watering our bamboo forests and farming areas, and using our land as a filter of some of the waters that go by this rivers. We believe in Regeneration and if there is anything we can do is… Act Now!
